Summer Vacation '09

For our vacation this year we decided to tour Utah. We purchased a pass from http://www.saltlakeconnectpass.com/. They are a great way to do a ton of stuff for very little money. It also included lunch at the Lion House. We went to the Thankgiving Point Dinosour museum, the Gardens, and the Childrens park area there. Then we went to Discovery Gateway. The kids loved this. We were there for hours. It was Elli's favorite place by far. The especially loved the balls and the water place.

The Aquarium in Sandy was Fantastic. It was the best one that I have personally every been to as far as fun for kids. It was uncrouded and you could pet sting rays and fish as long as you like. The kids love to play in the pretend coral area.

On Saturday, Sept. 5th Katie turned 8 and was babtized on her birthday. It was really neat. She had 2 sets of Great Grandparents attend and two sets of Grandparents, and lots of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Katie really enjoyed her day. Her Great Grandpa Teeples spoke and wroter her a poem. After her baptism we went to the patk and had a birthday party her with friends and family.

Elli Updates

It is the 6th of Juy today. Elli is 1 now. This morning she brought me her sandles and sat down so that I could put them on her. Then she headed outside to play with the dogs and cats. She is so sweet, but can be so demanding also. She yells at me when she wants something and just kind of makes happy noises when she is content. She started walking at 11 months, and is doing great now. She explored non-stop all day long.

What is your favorite color? Yellow, because it is bright like summer and the color of Grandma's roses.

What is your favorite thing to do? Go to the dinasour museuma and see all the bones and culture and stuff.

What is your favorite thing about school? Well it's recess, but I can't say that so I will pick morning math. It's fun, we have morning and afternoon math.

Why does Elli cry so much? Cause she is kind of little, but really big.

I spilled some candle wax and Carson said, "Mom now your the one who spills all the time, I probly don't spill anymore cause I turned 5."

1. What is your favorite color. Blue, and Red becase they are the color of Spiderman, and black too he says.

2. What is your favorite thing to do? He couldn't pick one so here is the list
A. I like to watch batman and the show with Zoom.
B. Play Ben 10 alien force on the computer.
C. Always saying thank you to mom when she gets things I like if it is Superhero stuff.
D. Play Superheros with mom and play at friends houses.
E. Play the Spiderman video game with Dad.
(I think he likes Superheros, what do you think. Can we say one track mind.)

3. What is you favorite food? Kind of like having chicken nuggets.

4. What is your favorite movie? Indiana Jones? (He made me guess by humming the theme song)

5. What is your favorite book? Disney books

6. What is your favorite vacation? Florida, when we went to the hotel with the beach.

8. Where do you want to go on your mission? When I'm a Dad and I want to go to florida with that place with a beach and a hottub. (I guess he thinks a mission will be an extended vacation.)

11. What do you want to be when you grow up. A fireman, since I've never even gotten to blow out a fire with water.

19. What is your favorite thing about Grandpa Teeples? When he gave me some meat and some hugs.

20. What is your favorite thing about Grandma Gerber? I like her when she gives me some sandwiches, since hers are the goodest sandwiches ever.

So there you have it. If you want Carson to like you just give him food or superheros stuff and he will think you are the greatest ever.

On the Computer before she can crawl.

Every time that we use the laptop, Elli decides to join in on the fun. She will reach over and try to hit all the keys and grab the little blue lights on the computer. It is pretty funny because she really gets into it and vigorously opens and closes her fingers on all the keys.

The Number Game

The other day Tony started the number game for prayers. He would pick a number between 1 and 10 and the kids would try to guess the closest to see who could say the prayer on the food. Tonight we were going to say family prayer and Carson decided he was going to do the number game for us. He said,"Ok, pick a number between nine and eleven." Tony picked ten, and sure enough it was ten. The funny part was how amazed and excited Carson was that Tony picked the number right on. We can tell Carson is going to be really good at the numbers game and maybe paper, rock, scissors..........or maybe he will just call it paper?!

Lost Kitty

A little gray kitten wandered to our home last week. She is such a sweet and tiny little thing. She loves to be held, and the kids adore her. I've never been a cat person, but I have to admit, she even won me over because she is just so sweet and gentle. Pictures coming soon.

Oh yah, I think our dog Allie is prego again because Tony did not get her fixed in time. Great. Puppies anyone.

Princess Elli update

Elli is really developing her own personality now. She is a lot of fun. She is the Princess of our house right now. She is so cute.

Elli is rolling over now, and trying to sit up on her own. She loves to be held, and hates to be put down. We finally set up her crib this week so she is sleeping in her own bed now. She loves to play with toys, and especially wrappers.

It is wonderful. She only wakes up once at night, and eats quickly and goes back to bed.

She loves to be outside, and really loves to go on walks. She love to grab

Florida Trip

We went to Florida with Randi's Family for our summer vacation. Ryan and Lessley and Elli and Hallie and Cam and Alecia, and Mom and Dad were all there. It was a blast.

We stayed in a condo right on the beach in St. Augustine. While there we toured went to the beach a lot and just rested and enjoyed time together. We are a very busy family with work and businesses that we run etc. Time together was the best part of the trip.

We saw Tony's mom and family while down there, and we also met up with an old friend of mine from California. Her Carlie and her husband is Luke, and they have a little girl named Kailani. It was fun to see them. Anyhow, enjoy the pictures of the trip.

What is Randi and Tony up To?

Tony is a commercial banker for Wells Fargo. He does a great job with that and enjoys doing it. He also owns and helps run a Cafe called Pizarro's in Altamont where we live. That is something he has always wanted to do, so we just did it one day. It does really well, has really good food, and it is fun to have a place to eat everyday. We are also working with fuel saving devices that we sell to trucking companies. This is a fairly new venture that may prove to be rewarding financially. We like to stay busy as you can see.

Randi stays home most of the time with the kids. She loves to be able to do that. She does a lot of work online and on the phone with the fuel business, and her other business (Team Everest.) Carson told Judy across the street that he does not know why I bother to wear makeup, because I never go anywhere, but to the computer. Randi has a goal to be a millionaire by the end of the year, so she keeps moving forward.

Randi is Young Women's president in her church. She loves to do this and loves her girls. She loves to spend time with the kids at the park or the pool, or with family.

Randi and Tony are looking forward to a family vacation in Florida. We will leave the end of the week.

Carson the Super Hero

Carson is our little Super Hero. He is pretty much into any type of hero. Spiderman is his favorite, but he loves them all, and always want to play or watch something about Superhero's. He loves to play with the neighbors, young and old. His best friend is Carson Hill, who lives next door. He loves Judy, who is an older gal that lives acrossed the street. He also love to play with the Wilcox who live down the street. They have a daughter named Mary who he just adores.

Carson loves to watch TV, and play on the computer. He plays some sports, but loses interest in them sometimes before his games even start. He is a bit lazy when it comes to things that take a bit of effort. We are working on that one.

He loves the pool and will play in the pool for hours. He went with his favorite cousin Tyler to the Vernal pool last week and had a blast.

Carson is a funny kid and will talk to anyone. We have no family secrets, because Carson will share everything with everyone. He is joy to all who know him.

The kids are all doing so well. Katie is will start first grade this year. She is a very sweet and thoughtful girl. She is a big help with Elli and Carson. She sometimes likes to tease Carson, and push his buttons. He is a kid with a lot of buttons to push. Katie is playing soccer right now, and is really good, and really enjoys doing it. She also loves to ride her bike and play with friends. She love to plant things. Katie is doing great with her reading, and other schooling. She is very smart, and learns quickly. She loves to swim. She loves to go to Grandma, and Great Grandma's house. Katie has great fun with her cousin Eli, and loves to play with all of her other cousins as well.

Well I finally taking the time to sit down and start a blog. I think that I am officially the last person in America to do this. Well there may be two or three others. At least then I don't need to send out Christmas letters anymore. Oh wait, well I never did that either. I am what you call the ultimate slacker when it come to anything like this. Well I will post the most recent exciting events that have taken place in our fam. The most exciting is that we added a new member to our family. Her name is Elli Gerber. She is 3.5 months old now. She was 5 lbs 14 oz, and 18 inches at birth. She is a sweetie, but does demand quite a bit of attention. She is a cuddle bug like Carson was. She loves to talk and talk, and smile. She is just now starting to play with toys a little bit, and hold onto things. Katie loves to hold her and play with her and she is a big help to me. We all just adore here.

Puppies are Born

Allie Had her puppies. They were really adorable and they sold very quickly. I wish now that we would have kept one of the white ones or the little patched one. They were so sweet.
